Terms of Service

These Terms of Service set out the rules for using the Culinary Tinker web application (the "App") and the terms for the provision of electronic services by Michał Kowalski, based in Warsaw, Poland, email: contact@culinarytinker.com (the "Service Provider").

The App is a support tool intended for cooks and bakers, in particular for:

• converting units of measurement and weight,
• converting ingredient proportions,
• comparing and converting baking tin and pan sizes,
• analyzing recipe text through the Recipe Assistant feature.

Use of the App is voluntary.

The App is provided free of charge and does not require user registration.

By starting to use the App, the user accepts these Terms and enters into an agreement for the provision of electronic services under the conditions set out herein.

These Terms are made available free of charge in a way that allows users to access, reproduce, and store them.

The Service Provider provides the following electronic services:

• access to the App and its calculator-related features,
• access to the Recipe Assistant feature, which automatically analyzes recipe text and extracts ingredients,
• storing selected user data locally on the user's device, to the extent necessary for chosen App features to function.

The services are provided for a fixed period corresponding to the actual time during which the user uses the App.

The Service Provider may develop, modify, limit, or discontinue specific App features.

In order to use the App properly, the following are required:

• a device with Internet access,
• a current version of a commonly used web browser,
• JavaScript enabled,
• browser Local Storage enabled, if the user wishes to use features such as saved settings or favorite recipes.

The Service Provider makes reasonable efforts to ensure that the App functions properly, but does not guarantee uninterrupted or completely error-free availability of the App.

The user is required to use the App in accordance with the law, these Terms, and good practice.

The following are prohibited:

• submitting unlawful content,
• using the App in a way that may disrupt its operation,
• automatically sending mass requests to the server, in particular by using bots, scripts, or other automation tools,
• attempting to bypass the App's security measures or gain unauthorized access to its infrastructure,
• using the Recipe Assistant feature in a manner inconsistent with its intended purpose, in particular for mass processing of content unrelated to culinary use.

The user should enter into the Recipe Assistant feature only content necessary for recipe analysis.

In the event of a breach of these Terms, a threat to the security of the App, or generation of excessive or unnatural traffic, the Service Provider may temporarily limit access to the App or selected features, including blocking a specific IP address, to the extent necessary to protect the App and its infrastructure.

The agreement for the provision of electronic services is concluded when the user starts using the App or uses a selected App feature.

The user may stop using the App at any time by leaving the App website.

The user may delete data stored locally on their device at any time by clearing their browser data or by using the relevant App feature, if available.

Since the App does not require the creation of an account, the agreement terminates automatically when the user stops using the App, subject to any data stored locally by the user on their device.

The App is intended for informational and support purposes only.

The Service Provider exercises reasonable care to ensure that the App's results are as accurate as possible, but does not guarantee that they will always be fully correct.

Conversion results may differ from actual culinary or baking outcomes because the final result is also influenced by factors independent of the App, including in particular ingredient properties, measuring method, temperature, humidity, preparation technique, and the individual characteristics of a given recipe.

The Recipe Assistant feature uses external language models and may generate incomplete, inaccurate, or incorrect results. The user should always verify the generated data before using it.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service Provider shall not be liable for the consequences of the user relying on App results as the sole basis for preparing dishes, baked goods, or taking other practical actions.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits the Service Provider's liability towards consumers where such exclusion or limitation would be prohibited by mandatory law.

The App, its name, layout, interface, graphics, logo, content, and other elements constituting works or otherwise protected intangible assets are protected by law.

Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, it is prohibited to copy, distribute, modify, or otherwise use elements of the App beyond ordinary permitted use without the Service Provider's prior consent.

The user may submit a complaint regarding the operation of the App or the electronic services provided:

• by email to: contact@culinarytinker.com, or

A complaint should include at least:

• contact details of the person submitting the complaint,
• a description of the problem,
• where possible, the date and circumstances of its occurrence.

The Service Provider will review the complaint without undue delay.

In the case of a complaint submitted by a consumer, a response will be provided within 14 days from the date of receipt, unless specific legal provisions state otherwise.

The response to the complaint will be sent to the email address from which the complaint was submitted or in another manner indicated by the user.

The rules regarding the processing of personal data and privacy are described in a separate Privacy Policy.

Use of the App may involve storing selected data locally on the user's device, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

The Service Provider may amend these Terms in the event of:

• changes in applicable law,
• changes to the App's features,
• changes to the Service Provider's details,
• the need to improve the App's security or operation.

Changes to these Terms become effective upon publication in the App or on the App's website.

Agreements concluded and performed before an amendment to these Terms shall be governed by the version in force at the time of using the App, unless mandatory legal provisions state otherwise.

Matters not regulated by these Terms shall be governed by Polish law.

These Terms do not exclude any rights granted to consumers under mandatory provisions of law.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
